Dr. Quincy Johnson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences in the School of Education and Human Sciences, at the University of Kansas, was a finalist for the 2024 Honor for the Outstanding Progressive Education (H.O.P.E.) award. The H.O.P.E. Award was established by the KU class of 1959 to recognize the recipients’ outstanding teaching and concern for students. It is the only KU award for teaching excellence bestowed exclusively by students and is led by the Board of Class Officers. The winner is selected by the senior class members.
“It was a great honor for me to be recognized for my teaching effort. My classroom and teaching philosophy is centered around student success. Also engaging the students and providing a little bit of challenge. I’m so young and early in my career, it is a great motivator for me to continue to impact students through teaching.”
